Do you know Him?

Recently I received an email from a friend that didn’t quite sound like her. It wasn’t the words she would typically use, and the typos made me question if it was from her.

I responded to say, is this you? A few minutes later, I got a response back, and she said yes, that she had sent the email.

Again something in my spirit said this is not her. And sure enough, I received another email stating that she had been in the hospital related to COVID 19 and needed assistance. I immediately called my friend to let her know that her email had been hacked.

How did I know this? Because I know my friend’s mannerisms, her demeanor, and the language that she uses.

Can you say that you recognize Yah’s voice and that you know His ways?

For most of us, if we are honest, we would answer, “No, I’m not sure how to tell His voice from my voice, or the enemy’s voice.”

My friend, if you desire to know Yahweh’s voice, you have to spend time with Him getting to know Him through His Word and learning His Ways. We often want His direction, His blessings, and His guidance without taking the initiative to seek Him and build a relationship with Him.

Hebrews 11:6 says that Yah rewards those who diligently seek Him. His rewards include:

  • Guidance when you aren’t sure which way to go
  • Reassurance when you are feeling insecure
  • Revelation and understanding of His Word
  • Supernatural power to overcome the unthinkable

If that isn’t enough, He rewards you with His presence and His promises to hide you under His wings in times of trouble.

Amid this season of wearing masks, social distancing, and staying at home, I’ve experienced such a peace that I cannot describe. My relationship with Yah has grown stronger. I’m not anxious or overwhelmed because I know my Savior’s voice, and I trust in His Word.

I pray that you are can say the same. If not, what do you need to do to get to know Yah better?

Be blessed and stay faithful no matter what!
